3d scanning and reverse engineering
We provide an in-house and on-site service for Scanning. Using 3D scanning equipment based high precision photogrammetry, we are able to digitise real world objects, for a variety of applications.
Reverse Engineering - to provide CAD models from existing parts and where no design data exists.
Sculpture - developing CAD models of maquettes for 3D environment visualations, or use in the manufacture process of a final piece.
Renovation/Restoration - capturing the shape of damaged parts and digitally repairing them.
Media - digitising subjects (people or objects) for use in 3D media applications.
From a molded part we can scan and output as a mesh file, which can be used to enable a surface model to be constructed.
These were required to be reverse engineered so they could be modified from a foreign bike to a native one. Identifying cylindrical features and profiles allowed us to reconstruct the geometry.
